Why would a customer want to see their car during the repair process?
Customers always have questions on how we are able to repair their
vehicles. They like us to explain how we will do the repairs and they
really like to see the repairs. When a person finds out you work in a
Body Shop they usually have many questions for you. Customers are
interested in how we are able to restore the vehicle to its pre-accident
condition. They will see how high tech the Auto Body industry has
become. They will see how innovative your shop has become as they take a
virtual tour of your facility and see your state of the art paint shops
and equipment.
2. Won't customers be concerned
when they see their cars taken apart?
We have found that the customer has a new appreciation for what it takes
to restore a vehicle to its pre-accident condition. They now understand
the complexity of the repair process and why it sometimes takes longer
than expected to repair their vehicle. They also find the whole process
very interesting. The simple fact is that the customer is amazed to see
how we can take their vehicle and make it like new.
3. What happens when a customer
sees that the car is sitting and not being worked on?
The customer will typically wait until the second or third day and will
then contact the shop. Our system does allow you to leave messages along
with the picture. You can inform the customer that you are waiting on
parts, waiting for the insurance company, or any message you would like
to communicate to them. You can also request that the customer contact
you if you are having trouble contacting them.
4. What do the customers say
about this system?
Your customers will tell you how much they love the program. When you
first explain the program to the customer you will hear them say
"WOW!" Customers finally have a reason to visit your web site.
What a way to start the repair, with the customer already impressed with
the level of service you are offering. You will receive e-mails from
customers telling you that they enjoy being able to see progress on
their car from the comfort of their home and office. You will get feed
back from the on-line survey form they will fill out telling you how
impressed they are with your shop.
5. May I view a sample site?

6. Can I leave a message for the
customer to read along with the picture?
Yes!! This is a great feature of the AutoWatch system. You can leave
your customers a message which they can receive any time day or night.
All of the online messaging is done with no extra data entry by your
office personnel. The entire program runs with a digital camera.
You simply snap a picture of the pre-made message card and send it along
with the regular pictures. Because of the simplicity of the process
anyone can operate our system with minimal training.
7. What features does this system
offer?
See Progress is adding to the AutoWatch system constantly! We are custom
web site developers. Simply stated, we develop your site to meet you
specific needs. We offer many variations to your site. We have an
insurance page that is only for the exclusive use of insurance
companies. We have a FAQ page similar to this one for your customer's
use. We offer a contact page with a map to your location. Your customers
can now schedule appointments online, and take your shop survey. If you
sponsor a sports team, race car, or other program we will design a page
just for that! We offer a fleet page for your fleet customers, which
enables them to see their vehicles and view their estimates online. We
will custom develop the entire site to your specifications.
8. Who takes the photos?
The photos can be taken by anyone who you choose. Your porter, your
secretary or any staff member. See Progress will train them on how
to take the photos, it is a very simple process.
9. How long does it take to do
the uploads each day in the shop?
The upload time varies according to the number of vehicles on the
system. A shop typically takes about 20 minutes to do the entire
process. This is very little time for a customer service program that
will give you great rewards. If you already do a walk-around, this
program will take virtually no additional time to operate.
10. Who puts the pictures on the
Internet?
You will be trained in how to upload the photos to See Progress. It is a
simple task and can be done by anyone in your shop. Once we receive the
photos each one is previewed and then uploaded to your site. See
Progress does all the daily update work and maintenance for you.
11. Do I put all the cars on the
system?
No. When a customer drops off their car you will ask them if they would
like to view their vehicle online. You then add their name to a
list of web site customers. These are the cars that will be placed on
the Internet.
12. Do I have to do data entry
for this system to work?
No! This program runs with the use of a digital camera. The reason
anyone can be trained to operate the AutoWatch system is because of its
simplicity. You will not sit at a computer and enter data. You don't
have time for that, and we knew it when we developed this program.
13. How does the personalized
e-mail work?
We know that the customer usually does not remember their
advisors name, but they can recognize their picture. So again, to make
it very simple for your customers they just click on the advisors
picture and it will open their email program. Any place that they see a
picture of their advisor on the web site it is a link to that advisor's
email. With a custom email address for each advisor, the customer is not
sending e-mail to a company and wondering where it ends up. AutoWatch
offers a personalized e-mail system and the customer knows where the
message is going.
14. How much work does this
require from the advisors?
We know your advisors are very busy handling customers, insurance
companies, and technicians. AutoWatch was developed so your online
customers are only one question away from signing up! They Simply
ask "Do you have Internet access?" If the customer says yes
then they simply explain the program and give them a flyer showing how
the system works. They will then add the customer's name to a web site
list, and their work is done.
15. How do I know how many people
visit my web site?
We will place a counter on your site where you can monitor the number of
visitors each day. We also will send you a quarterly statistics package
which show average the hits per day and number of hits by the hour. This
enables you to see that customers are visiting your 'shop' long after
you have closed for the day.
16. Do you use search engines?
No! This is the one of the unique things about AutoWatch. Most Companies
will encourage you to use search engines, but why? Why would you want a
customer 2,000 miles away looking at your site? We target only your
customer base. Which means your customers and their friends and
relatives, all looking at their vehicle on your web site. Some shops on
the AutoWatch program have over 7,000 hits on their site in 6 months and
that is only hits generated from their actual customer base. These are
not just people surfing the web that will never visit your shop.
Give us a call and we will give you specific statistics.
17. Who develops the web site?
See Progress will do the complete web site development and maintenance.
We will do the complete photo shoot of your shop, and highlight any of
your specialties. We will also write the copy for the entire site.
Your only job is to view the site and give us your approval!
18. What if I already have a web
site do I have to start all over?
Yes. See Progress can add the AutoWatch to most web sites. We would
check your existing site to see if it is compatible with the AutoWatch
system. Our prices are so reasonable that most shops with a current web
site consider having the whole site redone. This enables them to
reap all the benefits of the entire AutoWatch system.
19. Do you offer training and
support on the program?
Yes. We come to your shop and train you on the AutoWatch system.
Training takes about two hours. The office personnel training is limited
to about 15 minutes. The rest of the time is spent with the person who
will be taking the pictures and doing the uploads to See Progress.
Training is not complete until your personnel are comfortable and
efficient using the AutoWatch system.
20. How long does it take to get
the system working?
The average startup time is two weeks. After you sign on, we start
designing your custom web site and work hard to have you up and running
within two weeks.
21. How do I get started?
It's simple! Just contact See Progress at 1-877-977-6473 and we
will come to your shop and go over the AutoWatch program in detail. No
expenses are incurred until you have viewed your site at a test location
and have given the approval. Next we will offer you domain names to
choose from (if you have not already secured one). We will then bill you
for half of the startup fee. Your web site will then be moved to your
permanent server. Last on the agenda is the in house training.
When the training is complete you are ready to sign up your first
customer. At this time, you will pay the final start up fee.

22. How did this concept come
about?
The president of this company was in the Autobody industry for 30 years.
His inspiration came from his knowledge of the body shop industry and
his love of computers. He believes that customer service is
what distinguishes body shops. With more body shops and fewer accidents
his goal was to offer something that would enable the customer to have
an emotional attachment to their shop. To come back time and again
and invite their friends and family to view their vehicle/your shop
online. He also recognized that the intensity of the body shop
schedule would not allow any extra work by the advisor and staff. He
knew first hand that communication is the element that makes customers
happy. Combine that with the new dot.com economy and thus; See Progress
was born!
